We have been part of the Willing Workers on Organic Farms (WWOOF) organisation for many years now.  More than 160 (mainly) young people have WWOOFed at Carmyllie or at our previous property Moora Farm.  Some have stayed for just a few days - others for much longer.

WWOOFers live in our home - pretty much as part of the family.  WWOOFers are expected to work between 4 and 6 hours a day - and we try to make it as interesting as possible.

We are always happy to explain why we are doing whatever it is we are doing.  We are serious about farm / forest safety and, as much as possible, we try to teach skills - even if it is unlikely that a WWOOFer will ever swing a gate, build a post and rail fence, feed a calf, prune a tree again in their (mainly) city lives.

We have a Facebook group called Carmyllie Forest & Farm for people who have WWOOFed with us at Carmyllie or Moora - or for people who are just interested in what we are doing.
